This is not the usual fare for EMUTalk.org, but I heard a rumor from some fellow grade school parents/friends (and also read about it here) that Drew Barrymore was in downtown Ypsilanti today, supposedly scouting the location for a movie about roller derby girls (possibly this one, Whip It!) Any Drew sightings?

Apparently the locations director for the film graduated in Woodhaven High in 2002. According to the principal and several other faculty members, Barrymore and crew where here at the school today (May 20th).
There was a woman standing outside with sunglasses and a fanny pack who we were later told was in fact Drew.
Well, I need to say something here. i just returned from a business trip in the LA area. In one event at the conference I attended I met the son of a colleague who is in the film industry. I asked him what he thought of our state’s initiative to attract more movie business and he was ecsatic about it. He in fact is working on a deal to put the financing together and they are most likely coming to Michigan to start shooting this Fall. He said the credit is 40% and is the best bang on their buck (he is assistant producer) in North America! So, give at least some credit to Jennifer all right?
Wouldn’t you just love Ypsi to become one of the top movie shooting locations in the US and we can start charging rent to everyone involved at super high rates LOL
Let me tell you it way a crazy sighting!!!
I’m at work & I look out the window and saw who I thought looked like Drew Barrymore. She was with three other people. I hurried to get my co-worker & I’m like “doesn’t that girl look like Drew Barrymore” My co-workers like yeah she does look like her and I saw some one take a picture of the woman with their cell phone. So hey I’m not taking any chances. I grabbed my cell phone ask the people who were around her it was her. They said yes. So I approached her. She was very nice & beautiful. We took a picture together. SHE IS VERY COOL! I never would have thought I meet a SUPER STAR outside of my job downtown Ypsilanti, Michigan. GO YPSI!!!!!!
