This is quite a bit more football coverage than usual here at EMUTalk.org, but an alert and interested EMUTalk.org reader sent me this link to share: “Wyatt part of transformation: Sexton star is helping EMU out of doldrums.”
Here’s a quote from the story:
Over Jacob Wyatt’s three seasons, the Eastern Michigan football program has slowly shown signs of improvement.
The Eagles haven’t had a winning season since 1995, but 2007 offered glimpses of something different.
Wyatt, a former Sexton standout and the State Journal’s 2005 Male Prep Athlete of the Year, enters his final season as one of the Eagles’ leaders and catalysts of the transformation
The game is on today at noon, and it will be broadcast on live on the Big Ten Network. The EMU football site says that’s channel 65– I presume they mean Comcast, and I also know there is an HD version of that channel too. In any event, it’d be worth a look-see.
It seems to me that EMU is actually in a pretty good position as far as this game goes. If they win, well, that would be just freakin’ amazing. But even if they lose by only a bit, that’d be good. Of course, if they take the kind of beating they dished out to Indiana State, that might not be so good….
