Via Eric 3.0, I learned this morning about this AANews article, “Cady’s Grill & Bar in Ypsilanti closes; new BBQ restaurant planned.” The owners, Bill and Sandee French (who I believe are related to Sidetrack owner Linda French), are going to convert the location into a BBQ placed they are going to call “Wild Willy’s.”
Personally, I am in the same camp as the first commentator on this AANews article: Cady’s went wrong when they tried to make the menu more “upscale” but then were not able to deliver on that.
Aw, Cady’s was my boyfriend’s and my date restaurant. It was nice to have somewhere to eat in Depot Town that wasn’t also where your friends went to get drunk. I guess it’s true, though, that we didn’t go nearly as often once the prices went up.
