I got an email about this earlier, but didn’t see it until today, so sorry about the short notice. Basically, here’s a chance to be in an EMU football ad campaign with Ron English. Read below for the details, but if you’re available 10-11 am oops! noon that is– on Thursday, June 11, come on by Rynearson Stadium.
EMU to Hold Casting Call for Football Poster and TV Commercial
Join head coach Ron English and the EMU football team Thursday, June 11, at 10 a.m. at Rynearson Stadium.
YPSILANTI, Mich., June 8, 2009 – The Eastern Michigan University Athletics Department is looking for fans of EMU football to join head coach Ron English and the EMU football team in the 2009 EMU Football poster and television commercial, Thursday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to Noon at Rynearson Stadium. Fans of all ages are encouraged to attend and take part in the marketing campaign emphasizing the theme for the 2009 season, “Embrace the Process.”
Coach English wants everyone to know how much he loves EMU and enjoys being part of the Ypsilanti community. He wants his first poster to include everyone on his ‘team’. This includes students, faculty, staff, alumni, the Ypsilanti community and anyone who wants to be part of the excitement of the upcoming season!
Interested participants are being asked to arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. and should expect to stay until Noon. Those who attend are encouraged to wear attire that they would wear on a regular Thursday afternoon. For example, those who would normally be at work should wear what they would wear on a typical work day. Students who would typically be in class should wear what they would wear to class.
Following the shoot, autograph and photo opportunities with Coach English and participating players will be available for interested fans. The 2009 football season kicks-off on Saturday, September 5, as the Eagles host Army, 7 p.m. at Rynearson Stadium. Too bad it is not Friday afternoon so I can bring my kids. Maybe I can go and finally get the Hollywood break I always deserved, cough:-)
