Stop the virtual presses! “AnnArbor.com launches new page of Ypsilanti and Ypsilanti Township news.” It feels great to be discovered by our quaint neighbors to the west, doesn’t it?
In all seriousness though, I have to say that AnnArbor.com in its first year has struck me as a so-so enterprise at best. On the one hand, I regularly read their web site and have certainly quoted/cited plenty of their articles here. On the other hand, there really isn’t much “there” there. I mean, it really seems like a watered-down version of The Ann Arbor News before it closed up, and given that it was already a really watered-down version if itself, that’s saying something.
And I really have to wonder if AnnArbor.com is making any money at all.
