“Ann Arbor teachers union joins boycott of EMU student teachers over EAA”

Jeez, this EAA thing just gets worse and worse. ¬†From mLive comes “Ann Arbor teachers union joins boycott of EMU student teachers over EAA.”

Interestingly enough, I was a department meeting yesterday where Provost Kim Schatzel came to talk about a bunch of stuff, including this EAA mess. I don’t know if it’s fair to quote her here now necessarily, but I think it’s fair to say that EMU is clearly “re-evaluating” its roll in this.

  1. All I want from santa this year (professionally) is your last line to be legitimately true. . .

  2. This is too bad for EMU students who want to student teach in the district. I remember when the Regents made this bone-headed decision to get involved. Right after Republican Rick Snyder became governor and the Dems on the Board of Regents were worried more about currying political favor than the future of EMU’s teaching majors. Same shit, different day.
